Fast: Day 16 Breaking the Fast

Peace Beautiful Family,

I began fasting 2 Thursdays ago and entered into my fast in solidarity with the Immokalee Farm Workers, our brothers unjustly detained in Guantanamo Bay, and my spirits will be with those fasting for our families in Yemen being murdered and starved by our country's funded wars.

Today I am breaking my fast. It has been a challenging and exciting journey and there is much that I have yet to unpack and unlearn. I am grateful to return to the world of "food" and take the time to be conscious about my addiction to consumption and my social addiction and conditioning to eating.

I had two moments where I knew I should have gone a bit easier and taken my time and rushed and felt myself black out. I fell on one of those occasions and struggled to maintain my strength and balance on the second.

I have the personality of indomitable will and I would typically force my body to continue fasting because my soul and spirit is still willing to go further and enjoy this state of being. At the same time, I'm going to take the time to listen to my body, and to be mindful and respectful of the personal healing I need. As a good friend once told me, moderate your moderation. I know part of the healing I need is to learn when to listen to life and my body and when to let go, when to say, you've done your best, you've done great, and the journey is not over! I have to unlearn that even extreme perseverance is harmful and detrimental to the mind and body. It is part of the capitalist mentality that we are not of any value if we do not produce produce produce. I will give in, and submit to my heart and partly saddened but also with excitement and joy, I will humbly break my fast :)

The journey will continue into easing back into an electric alkaline lifestyle with a mucus reduced diet. This journey is a reminder that we always can do better. The same way I strove to just have the best products in my body, all the minerals I need, the best spring water I could find, I will also continue to dedicate my life to slowly incorporate better and healthier food, communities, and ideas into my world.

It's been such a blessing to reflect on my body being able to function on just water and minerals for the past couple of weeks. My body feels lighter! Clearer and cleaner! And I've still up till today still been using the bathroom. I'm going to walk with a deeper consciousness of my temple, and what I allow into it and out of it.

I might break fast with a little bit of alkaline pho broth. Just something soft to sip on and slowly gain more denser liquids in my body.

You can check it out and follow my instagram if you'd like some recipe inspirations :)

I'll conclude my fast with the 3 principles of URUA:

1. You are number 1! So who can teach you anything? No one! Who is better than you? No one! And you are not better than anyone else. All you have to worry about is the vibration that you put out into the world.

2. Offer yourself nothing that hurts.

3. Offend no one or anything.

Peace and Blessings Family!

Fast: Day 13

Day 13

Reflection

Today is the 13th day of my fast. Wow. What an incredible journey so far. So much has come up for me and I'm reminding myself to make the time to refine my heart. To take the moments to come to resolve as quickly as possible when conflict arises rather than let wounds fester into our minds where we creatively dramatize situations and assumed emotions further. Those are the moments to find our strength and our love. It is in our humility. In our ability to choose to become the softest flower. The inner child does not need to be punished, it is energy, it is creative, it can be guided. It is the reminder that a part of my being is in need of some love, of some attention -- and what attention is not better than inner reflection?

Dive into the mind and explore what bring us these pains. Love that inner being and create space for your higher divinity to rise. Heal the brilliant beautiful inner child, so your divinity can greet others more deeply from a space of abundant love rather than fear based expectation, lack, and lack of consideration.

Humility is the key to understanding the other's position. It allows us to grow in our compassion, vulnerability, and emotional intelligence.

Blessings+

Whachu Eating?!
Many people have been asking me how I've been able to sustain myself on just water for the past couple of days. So I will clarify what I've actually be consuming:

Daily:
1. Spring Water
2. Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water
3. Mineral Compound: Wildcrafted Organic Sea Moss, Bladderwrack, and Chaparral

Coconut Water:
So what do those ingredients have anything to do with anything? Well let's start off with the Coconut water. I love coconut water, and these young coconuts are delicious. So I was using these to transition in between when I felt a need for a bit of heavier meal, I'd have a few mouthfuls of this refreshing hydrating drink. It's still somewhat concerning drinking out of anything packaged because we know so little about the origins or the processes used to grow our food. For example, are the seeds already sprayed with chemicals and pesticides before they're even planted to be grown? What does that do to our bodies? It's poison.

Water:
Spring water is naturally alkaline. Many waters have harsh metals inside and are acidic. A note that natural alkalinity in nature occurs between 7 - 14. Many water companies are distributing drinks that are alkalinized, mineralized, etc... these are not necessarily good for our consumption. They are made alkaline artificially and are chemical byproducts that will not give you the same benefit of natural spring water. The key is to stay away from any altered variations. If Mother didn't make it, don't take it! Spiring waters are natural from the ground, they are mineral rich, and they are electric. They are alkaline.

So where does all my strength come from? Well, let's start from a place of humility. Day 13 into the fast, I reflect on yesterday. Yesterday was a tough day. We had a performance in the morning, facilitated workshops in the afternoon, and performed for an event in the evening. Yesterday was one of the days that was challenging for me. I also have to keep in mind that I'm doing rigorous exercises in the morning and that my body also needs to heal. Yesterday my body was feeling exhaustion from the previous's day's burn. I could barely go up any stairs, lol, my quads were on fire. It was excruciating :) But I'm grateful for the lesson in giving myself the time to be present to where I'm at. To be flexible, to take your time. To breath. To walk slow. To drink water. To replenish. To rest. To be still. To be at ease.

Today, in comparison to yesterday has been amazing. I'm so proud of seeing my growth in strength and endurance, and falling deeper into my workout routine! I'm psyched about it ^_^

Mineral Compound - Design of the Cosmos
The secret to my energy levels is the mineral compound. So this is the break down:

The human body is made up of 102 minerals. These are the first 102 minerals in the periodic table for all you chemistry buffs out there -- I see you ;) From the first 92 minerals that we are made up of, we can find all except two of those minerals on the planet. We can't find the other 2 minerals in doses that are natural because those minerals have such a short half life. We can only find those 2 minerals in outer space. They are testament to our physical bodies being composed of star dust and star light. How beautiful.

This is the importance of minerals. The human body is electric. The one thing that separates organic chemistry from inorganic chemistry is: CARBON. The presence of carbon is what allows for life. The basic chain necessary for all life to exist on this planet must be consistent with the C-H-O chain: Carbon - Hydrogen - Oxygen.

To illustrate the way the body functions, Dr. Sebi illustrates a piece of carbon being wrapped around by a copper wire. The copper wire spinning around the carbon will conduct electricity. The physical bodies of human beings are made out of carbon and our brains are composed of iron. In very much the same way as the iron around the carbon produces electricity, the iron of our brain being in constant contact with the carbon of our bodies and the 80%+ percentage of water makes our bodies highly conductive of electricity, this electricity is what gives us our motor functions. No electricity, no life. But there is always life :)

The human body needs minerals in order to conduct electricity. These minerals include iron, gold, silver, potassium, etc. The minerals that we need to maintain a healthy balance and resonance with nature are those 102 minerals that we are composed of.

Your body needs minerals to conduct all of its bodily functions and necessities.
Ok, what is so wild about that?

Your body does not need:
  • Protein
  • Flesh
  • Vitamins

Etc.

What your body necessarily needs is MINERALS. Anything short of minerals in not acceptable or tolerated. It does not have chemical affinity with the body.

Let's begin with protein. Protein is a macromolecule (a super molecule) made through the process of polymerization (chemically snowballing molecules into a ginormous blob) of several enzymes and acids. So they change the chemical structures of these already natural and organic minerals to produce a "protein" that has a specific desired effect like large muscles, etc.

The fact is that a protein is a synthetic chemical designed with mineral rearrangement that is not in accord with our genetic structure. So what about protein from animals?

Flesh

The reality about flesh is that it has no place in the human body for three reasons. The first reason is that meat, chicken, fish, pork, bison, hog, etc., inevitably is going to rot inside your intestines. No matter how well you season it, dead flesh rots. Secondly, at 122 degree fahrenheit, maggots are still dancing and chilling on fire. The consumption of flesh is in actuality the consumption of maggots. Third, if the body is in need of MINERALS, why would you have to go through a second source like protein to receive it when is an abundant resource?

Vitamins are also like proteins, synthetically made chemical rearrangements of minerals - no chemical affinity!

So then, how do you possibly get all these minerals in your body? 102 minerals? Well...

Welcome to the World of Minerals

There are things that our Mother makes that is so special. WIldcrafted Sea Moss, for example, naturally contains 92 of the 102 minerals that our bodies need to for proper chemical balance with nature. 92!!! And Wild Crafted organic sea moss is not impossible to find! It's very accessible, you can even order it online. BUT ONLY ORDER WILDCRAFTED! Sea Moss further discussed in future post :)

And this is what I have been consuming complimented by Bladderwrack also known as Fucus, a sea weed. Fucus another mineral rich leaf has the power of removing the toxins from your body, working hand in hand with the sea moss they're a super team of toxin removal and mineral depositing. They work to repair your joints, muscles, etc.

And finally the chaparral is an herb that is rich in iron phosphate which is magnetic. This means that iron attracts other metals such as gold, etc, to it which are healthy and great for the body.

This is the electric food I have been fasting with and using to sustain my body. There are plenty of other mineral rich food and herbs which I will be sharing soon :)

In all truth this experience has given me much to reflect on my daily consumption of food in general. One thing was to transition into being an alkaline vegan and have to battle against the inconveniences of not being able to purchase my desired ingredients in shops, bakeries, restaurants, deli's, grocery stores, etc, and having to make cultural adjustments to how I shared meals and meal times with my family and friends. This experience has gone so much more deeper in the sense that I've really begun to question, how much do I need period? Not just with food but in all aspects of my life. How much of my consumption is necessary? How much of my consumption has been programmed into me, 3 square meals a day? 4 meals? I don't feel hungry a lot, thirsty more times than not, we're typically dehydrated and confuse it with hunger. My body weight is steadying and beginning to slowly gradually rise. It's time for me to go to bed. Have a beautiful day everyone! Yoga tomorrow: 6am!

PS: A great friend and amazing teacher is visiting and we're planning a small intimate session on Bliss, Breath, and Luminosity. If you are interested or know someone who might be, lets please be in touch :)

Fast: Day 11

Such a Blessings to be Alive and to connect with you family+ Blessings and Good Sunday Morning!

On Day 11 of my fast on water, coconut water, and minerals I just wanted to share what a typical morning looks and feels like for me.

So I woke up at 6:45am. For me its super crucial to have a routine. Going to sleep and waking up at similar times just really helps my body function and not feel like I'm disrupting my body's clock every morning to a new time. My body naturally senses when it's time to wake up and goes. I also feel that this helps me personally recover more on longer days. Even if it means I have to take a few more 15- 20 min naps through out the day, it keeps me in my rhythm.

So after giving myself 15 extra minutes to just lay in bed and not do anything but play some random phone app... nah... it was Clash Royale.. guilty! I threw on my work out uniform and got to a great 30 minute exercise included some yoga push ups, squat jumps, plank walks, and some good overall body stretches to keep the body mobile and really engage the core.

One thing that I've continued to see in having a workout regimen is that the more I repeat an exercise, the deeper understanding of it I have. For example, today was mostly focused on working out the core and we engaged in a yoga push up. I've sometimes heard of this push up also referred to as a Spider Man push up~~~~> for you all you web slingers out there ^_^. But in a previous workout I was killing myself engaging the wrong muscles for this exercise, overexerting my shoulders and chest, and forgetting all about engaging in my core, gluts, and thighs. This is all a result of not knowing the exercise deep enough.

The same concept applies to all aspects of our lives, whether it be Love. Whether it is our Art. It is a way to live life. We can only fall deeper into ourselves, fall deeper into love, and fall deeper into love with each other. In the path towards healing, it is not about getting it right the first time, it is not about the millions of times it takes you to "get something," it's knowing that we will heal. We are healing. It is expected of us to heal. For all future generations.

I had such a blessed weekend with the cast of BAM's "Word, Sound, Power!" produced by Mikal Amin Lee and directed by Baba Israel!! Shouts to OSHUN, Frank Waln, Lady Logic, Dj Reborn, and my dudes Dreams, Rocka, and Twice Light! I love you all Family! So blessed to have rocked with ya!

This morning my energy levels are feeling really great! I feel awesome after my work out! I'm about to surprise and visit some of my family today! I'm so excited to see them! And I'm also going to check out Maá speak in Brooklyn! She's the wife of the late Dr. Sebi was journeyed with him and put the herbal compounds together for 30+ years that were used to cure people of various diseases.

Feeling blessed. Have a beautiful Sunday Morning Family!!!+

Fast: Day 10

The experience of fasting for the second time this year has centered my spirit on January of this year.

With The Peace Poets, we had the profound opportunity to walk and march with Witness Against Torture in Washington, D. C. to demand the release of the men imprisoned in a U. S. torture site in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. All men there have one thing in common: they are being unjustly detained for being Muslim. It is the true war of terror that has been waged so strongly on our Muslim family and extends to people of color, womxn, "undocumented" people, Palestinians, and all marginalized and affected in the efforts by the U. S. to expand its violent empire, founded on genocide, displacement, and slavery.

We fasted together for about 7 days with different folks going at their pace. I brought with me about $50 worth of fruits and vegetables that I had prepared to juice to give me the energy I needed to walk with these beautiful warriors of love.

I guess this is a good opportunity to speak a little about which foods in particular I was selecting to juice. In my studies exploring the African Bio-Mineral Balance presented to the Brooklyn Supreme Court in 1988, Alfredo Bowman (Dr. Sebi), explained that hybrid foods produce starch and that the chemical breakdown of these foods become acidic in the body causing all diseases.

Hybrid Foods &  Grafting
Hybrid foods came to the world through a culture of migration and displacement, the domestication of agriculture and animals, and the genetic modification of food. Hybrids are produced through a process called grafting. So what is grafting?

In nature, when two young trees grow too close too each, if they remain within the same species, they at times will be able to merge together at the stem and produce a new plant. This is nature's perfect selection and choice to allow the plant to grow so long as the two plants maintain within the same species, have the proper mineral balance in the soil, and adequate moisture/ water and light. To further illustrate this point, some seeds for example, nature will not allow to grow in certain terrains, temperatures, etc., sometimes they won't grow even if the environment appears to be similar. We can look at the coqui frog from Puerto Rico that will not be able to survive if taken out of the island.

Human grafting is the unnatural process of genetically modifying organisms by using starch to force two plants to produce new and unnatural plants. People, through observation and experimentation with nature, began taking the rootstock of one plant, and the scion of another (the leaves, flower, or fruit being selected for its genes) and they would bind these two together with starch. This process leads to the forced birth of an inorganic plant that contains starch as its base.

Starch & Our pH Balance
So what is the big deal with starch anyway? Starch is made from glucose, the blood sugar of plants. When a fruit is made with starch as its base it is completely poisonous to the human body. Starch contains cyanide.

We measure the human body according to the pH balance from 0 - 14. 7 is the neutral point between acidity and alkalinity. Anything ranging from 0 - 6.9 is acidic while anything ranging from 7 - 14 is not only alkaline- but it is the sacred range for all the foods that our PachaMama naturally creates for us in nature.

All foods created by the Earth, by our planet, without human intervention, must necessarily fall between 7 - 14 on the pH balance.

It is through this scientific method, using the pH balance that we can be certain if a food has been made by humans or made by Goddess! If it is alkaline, Goddess made it! If it is acidic- it surely had human intervention and is guaranteed to be acidic.

All foods that have starch in the them as a base are poisonous, acidic, manmade, and genetically modified.

But I'm already a Vegetarian/ Vegan...
This is a critical distinction to be made because many people typically think of nutrition in 4 general categories at best: carnivores/ meat eaters, vegetarians, raw foodists, and vegans.

If we use logic to explore these categories, however, we will come to learn that people from all categories will have a range of better/ worst health, different ranges of longevity, and different levels of energy. The hypothesis to be assumed and proposed is that none of those diets are actually efficient for literally ALL bodies since some bodies have varying genetic predispositions. It also seems something is missing in our fundamental understanding of our food consumption and health.

The issue is that all of those diets actually still consist of a couple common denominators. The first and most dangerous is starch, sugar (which is also hybridized), meat/ blood, and dairy.

Today I will only touch on starch based foods.

I had the idea for most of my life that if it came from the ground... then it had to be natural, right? Organic... because it didn't have any pesticides... and wasn't a monsanto super seed that would grow stronger, faster, and cause tumors while it destroyed the land and the people... right? lol

Not quite.

The truth of the matter is that through the process of grafting humans have introduced an innumerable amount of so-called "foods" to society. We have culturally grown up eating these things are not able to distinguish real food or natural and organic food from manmade food. And how can we when we have not been taught this knowledge? We have been ignorant of the history of manmade foods, had our history from foods in accord with our genetic structure almost destroyed, and have had a diet forced on nations through the process of genocide, slavery, and mass domesticated agriculture that has been enforced by the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry.

And the answer is quite simple, it has always been in front of our faces. But I will speak more about this on the next post. The answer is Minerals by the way, I wouldn't make you hold out lol

NOT MY RICE AND BEANS: Real food vs Manmade Food.

So let's get to the juicy stuff!!! What foods are real and what is manmade?

Well a carrot for example is not made from Goddess. A carrot is a hybrid! It is a cross between a wild yam (yarrow) and Queen Anne's Lace. Together, this starch monster produces an inorganic root known as the carrot. The carrot when measured in the pH balance is necessarily acidic. It contains starch and therefore cyanide as its base.

I came into extreme shock coming to find that most of the stuff I thought was "healthy" and natural were hybrids!! The list goes on from beets, plantains, yuca, cassava, rice and beans (except wild rice and garbanzo beans), and so forth.

Many of these "foods" specifically cassava, and rice & beans were all grafted and designed to maintain the new displaced population of African slaves fed cheaply also ruining indigenous lands (acquired through genocide and settler colonialism) and natural diets in accord and alignment with Goddess' alkaline arrangement. The pastas we love to eat are cyanide sandwiches slowly breaking down our bodies.

Our Deviation from Nature...

The issue again is that these "foods" do not follow the cosmic design of nature. We have literally been fed lies. Fed poison. However, this is not a blame game. We know that by the time people migrated to Egypt, there was a deviation with our natural consumption from our cross referencing with different holy texts referencing repetitively that "the herbs shall be used for the healing of the nations."

Garlic which was made by the Egyptians is another hybrid food. I know, so sad, 😂! So the goal is to acknowledge our history and the history of violence so that we can get to a place of healing and accountability not erasure, disease, ailment, and psychological disorder.

So you are probably wondering, well then, what the heck did you eat??! It seems like everything is starch based, what are you eating just air and water? Well for the moment, yes, I am only drinking water and air lol, plus a few minerals ;) necessary for my body's motor functions to be at balance.

The Mucus Membrane & The Four Deadly Venoms

Before I get to the foods, and I promise I will, it's also essential for us to understand what acidity does to the body. When we have acid in the body it starts overproducing mucus. Now we already have mucus in us, the problem follows when our mucus membrane is compromised. Our body is comparable to an engine. There are 3 things we must take care to protect this engine of ours and ensure its maximum efficiency. They are:

Short Circuit
Obstruction
Overheating

When our mucus membrane is compromised excess mucus causes all of this in the body. Mucus is acidic. Acidity deteriorates the body. Furthermore, this mucus compromise causes the deprivation of oxygen to the brain. In future posts, I will speak more on the C-H-O chain and what the body needs to maintain its motor functions.

So the key in choosing alkaline foods is deeply connected to the balance and regulation of the mucus membrane. In fact, when the mucus membrane is balanced it is impossible for any disease to exist in the human body. This ranges from the common cold to HIV/ AIDS, dementia, alzheimer's, diabetes, and any cancer imaginable. Those "diseases" are all acidic in nature, and require an acidic-free or mucus reduced diet to bring the body into equilibrium. In future posts, we will discuss the different schools of medicine and see how they compare to these statements.

ALKALINE FOOD!!!

Some of the foods and nutrition I was able to enjoy during that wonderful fast with Witness Against Torture in January 2017 included the following SEEDED foods: apples, blueberries, watermelons, raspberries, kale, lemon, papaya, cantaloupe, ginger, pear, grapes, honeydew, peaches, and zucchini (foods without seeds are evidence of their hybrid nature such as seedless grapes and seedless pineapples).

The juices were so delicious! It took me a good 8 hours over the weekend to make take the time to cut through these gems and chop up the beautiful goodness Mother has made perfectly for us. The flavors were so sweet, I can still taste them now! 😋

And as I do I reflect on those days, I think about some of the things that a few of my comrades had access to drink. V8's, gatorades, "natural fruit" juices, milk, synthetic milks, energy drinks, coffee, and teas. We have all been indoctrinated with these things as safe for our consumption, but a glass of soy milk is just as detrimental to our bodies as "organic" milk. They do not have the proper chemical affinity for your bodies. Organic cow milk is designed for organic baby cows. But cows are not organic either! And that's for another post!

Reflection

It was a beautiful time, and now that I am on a fast of spring water, and Harmless Harvest Coconut Water, I am holding those people dear to my heart as they retreat in my city. Blessings to you WAT!

So just to keep it real. MNI WICCONI. Water is Life.

I've been consuming a lot of spring water. Spring water is great because it is at a satisfactory pH level of 7+. I have to get better at my consumption of water because the plastic packaging is just further adding to this problem we have of destroying our land and not holding ourselves accountable to our own waste. It is the culture of convenience. It is the culture of settler colonialism. It is the culture of taking and not having accountability. It is the culture of "whiteness." We are all indigenous to some where. Lets continue to be more conscious and more mindful everyday of how we can do a little better and peel off these layers of whiteness, convenience, and consumption that make up the fabric this empire has covered us with.

***GRAPHIC ALERT***

One last thing before I go...
Day 10 of the fast and I have still been using the bathroom. It's been quite interesting because I honestly wasn't thinking that 10 days into not eating I would still have food in my body. Especially after not having eaten meat for months. This has really made me reflective not only of the physical detox that my body is going through, but also the chemical and psychological detox. I just had the thought that my body must be infiltrated with plastics, chemicals, and waxes from all the things I've put in my body and from all this modified urban environment that is in deep contrast to the natural place my body was designed to live in; a place well oxygenated, in a nurturing and loving society living in harmony with nature and all creation. And if you think that sounds to be fluffy, magical, and dreaming, please just explain to me why no other species on the planet has a need doctors, medicine, pills, or insurance. It is us who have fallen out of alignment with Goddess. And it is us who must be accountable.

Energy Levels
My energy levels have not been too bad considering that I've had 3 shows at BAM with The Peace Poets this week!!! We have our last show of the weekend tonight and every single show has been SOLD OUT!!! Such an honor and a blessing to walk with these brothers, and all the amazing artists, dancers, and poets for change on this journey.

But I honestly have not fully adjusted to my energy levels yet. I find myself a bit tired in the mornings, usually some hot water tends to slowly awaken my body and I usually burn some cannabis leaf to wake my body (only reggie with seeds is alkaline and non hybrid!). After this, I usually feel good, strong and ready for the day. I follow this with either a rigorous 15 - 45 min work out or some taoist yoga for about 40 minutes.

Note to Self:

I also have to remind myself that since I'm not consuming "food" my body has been adjusted for years to sit still and relax during/ after a meal. I'm being mindful of the moments my body also just needs to chill out, and rest, or take a nap. We're not just robotic beings with on and off switches made to produce produce produce.

In Closing...
I think napping has actually become my new best friend! lol But I'm happy to say that the joy of this fatigue also comes with the blessings of being able to be rocking with our family at BAM, which I'm about to head out to now, and being able to share with my beautiful community and family of Love Warriors. <3 so Blessed+

Soon, I'll share more about my cultural experience through this journey! Peace and Blessings Family!

May you and your Loved Ones be well and at Peace <3

Blessings+
